Did NDA get a shock before the Vice President Election? This news came out

Vice President Election: Preparations are in full swing for the Vice Presidential election to be held on September 9, where there will be a direct contest between the candidates of the ruling NDA at the Center and the opposition India Alliance. Now before the election, the opposition’s VP candidate Sudarshan Reddy has made a big claim. Retired Justice B. Sudarshan Reddy, the candidate of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) for the post of Vice President, has claimed that he is also getting support from political parties other than the alliance.

Former Supreme Court judge Reddy, who came to Lucknow on Tuesday to hold discussions with Congress and Samajwadi Party leaders, also addressed a joint press conference with SP chief Akhilesh Yadav. During this, he said that he is grateful for the support he is getting. Sudarshan Reddy said, “The opposition parties have put their faith in me and I am very grateful for this. I know that along with the constituent parties of the India Alliance, those who are not part of this alliance are also coming forward for cooperation.

Reddy further said, “I appeal to the MPs of all political parties to rise above party feelings and think about my candidature on the basis of merits and demerits.” He further said that he has always stood with the basic spirit of the Preamble of the Constitution and wants to assure the whole country that he will stand with full strength in the future as well. On questions related to entry into politics, Justice Reddy said that the post of Vice President is not a political post but a high constitutional post.

He said, “Some of you ask me why I have stepped into the political arena. I say that I have not stepped into any political arena. This is a high constitutional post, which has been occupied by philosophers, national workers and educationists in the past.” He said, “Educationalists Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, Dr. Zakir Hussain, former diplomat Dr. K. R. Narayanan and later Shri Hamid Ansari ji. These people are a source of inspiration for me. I am thankful to all the opposition parties for making me the candidate for the post he holds.”

Sudarshan Reddy will challenge C.P. Radhakrishnan

It is worth mentioning that Jagdeep Dhankhar, the 14th Vice President of the country, had recently resigned last month citing health reasons. After this, the Election Commission has started the election process for the selection of the new Vice President. The ruling National Democratic Alliance has made Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan the candidate in this election, against whom the opposition’s Sudarshan Reddy will challenge.
