Big revelation regarding Vice Presidential election 2025, fraud in nomination came to the fore, fake signatures of MPs were used
A shocking case has come to light during the process of the Vice Presidential election which has raised serious questions on the transparency of the country’s electoral system. Kerala resident Jacob Joseph filed his nomination with the help of fake signatures of 22 MPs, causing a stir in the entire political corridor.
How was it revealed?
During the scrutiny of the nomination papers, the officials got suspicious when the name and signature of YSRCP MP Midhun Reddy were found in Jacob’s documents. The shocking thing was that Midhun Reddy is currently in jail, which made it impossible for him to sign. When other MPs were questioned, they also clarified that they never signed Jacob’s nomination.
Irregularities in the nomination process
The last date for nomination for the Vice Presidential election was August 21. This time 46 candidates had filed a total of 68 nomination papers. 28 nominations were rejected in the preliminary scrutiny itself. In the scrutiny held on August 22, the nominations of only two candidates – CP Radhakrishnan (NDA) and B. Sudarshan Reddy (Opposition) were found to be valid.
What will be the next step?
Jacob Joseph’s nomination has been cancelled with immediate effect and the matter has reached the Rajya Sabha Secretariat. However, it is not yet clear what legal action will be taken on this fraud. But this incident raises serious questions on the security and credibility of the electoral process.
Vice President election date
Former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar resigned on July 21 due to health reasons. Now voting for the post of Vice President will be held on September 9 and the results will also be declared on the same day.
This case not only exposes the fraud of an individual, but also shows how vigilance and transparency are necessary to protect democratic institutions.
