Big news from Darbhanga: Pickpockets wreak havoc during Rahul Gandhi’s visit, leaders’ purses and mobiles stolen
Darbhanga. A shocking incident has come to light from Darbhanga district of Bihar. Pickpockets targeted many leaders and workers during the Voter Rights Yatra of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi. During this, taking advantage of the crowd, thieves stole the purses and mobile phones of senior RJD leaders, causing a stir in the entire area.
According to sources, unidentified miscreants stole the purse of National Minority Cell President of Rashtriya Janata Dal and former Union Minister Ali Asraf Fatmi. Not only this, RJD leader Bhola Sahni’s purse and mobile phone were also stolen. However, due to the alertness of the people present on the spot, a youth was caught red-handed and handed over to the police.
In the huge crowd gathered in the yatra, many purses and mobile phones of not only leaders but also common people fell into the hands of pickpockets. These incidents have angered the people and serious questions are being raised on the security system.
Confirming the incident, Fatmi said, “Not only mine, but the belongings of many other workers and leaders have been stolen.” Bhola Sahni also admitted that his mobile and purse have been stolen. Currently, the police is interrogating the arrested youth and investigating other cases of theft.
